What to Have Ready Before You Call

Spencer Burton, Manager, handles scheduling and estimates himself.

None of this is required to get help, but having it at hand makes the first call and the first visit faster:

  • Your insurance company and policy number, and the claim number if you have already opened one
  • Photos or short videos of the damage, taken before anything is moved or thrown out
  • Who we should deal with on site, and their phone number, if it is not you
  • Access instructions: a key or lockbox code, the alarm company if there is one, and how to reach the basement
  • Where a truck can park close to the door; many Cambridge streets are resident-permit parking only
  • When the damage started or when you found it, and what has been done so far
  • For a condo or a rental: the landlord, association or property manager, and the neighbors above or below

What Happens Next

  1. We call you back

During working hours for form requests; emergency calls are answered around the clock.

  2. We set a time

A few questions about the damage, the building and access, then a time that works for you.

  3. We inspect first

Moisture readings, photos and a look at how far the damage goes, before any work starts.

  4. You get a plan

A clear plan, a timeline and a written estimate; the insurance paperwork goes to your insurer directly.

More detail on each step is on our process page.

Request Questions

How quickly will you respond?

Emergency calls are answered around the clock, so for water, smoke or storm damage happening now, call (857) 754-6108. Requests sent through this form are answered during our working hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.

What if it happens after hours?

Call. Emergency calls are answered around the clock, nights, weekends and holidays included. A form sent at 2 am will not be read until working hours, so do not rely on it for an emergency.

What happens after I send the form?

We call you back to ask a few questions about the damage and to set a time for the inspection. At the visit we look at how far the damage goes, take moisture readings and photos, and then give you a clear plan, a timeline and a written estimate. If your insurance company is involved, we send them the paperwork directly.

Can I send photos?

Yes, and they help. The form cannot carry attachments, so email your photos to manager@avonhillrestoration.com with your name and street in the subject line, ideally right after you send the form.
